A year on, and it's clear Kiwi exporters reaped rewards from the Rugby World Cup. The DHL Export Barometer shows a quarter of exporters had an increase in business, thanks to the tournament being hosted here. New Zealand manager Tim Baxter says it was largely medium and large businesses which benefited the most, thanks to more global exposure. "I think there's a lot of energy created by the world cup and probably a lot of awareness. So what we saw exporters getting visibility I would imagine and that has given us positive results." Mr Baxter says the comprehensive survey covered a range of businesses across every sector of the export community. Photo: Photosport |
