Woman missing after car crashes into river

The search for a Korean woman whose car crashed into the Waikato River has extended as far as Ngaruawahia.

The 40-year-old's car plunged through railing on the Pukete bridge into the river on Wednesday night.

The car was retrieved, but so far there has been no sign of the driver.

Another boat crew was sent out this morning as far as Ngaruawahia to search for the woman but so far without success.
