Toyota recall affects 1800 vehicles in NZ

By: Natasha Burling | New Zealand News | Friday August 10 2012 18:18

Toyota New Zealand is recalling Camry, Camry Hybrid and Aurion vehicles built between October 2011 and July 2012.

It follows a recall of the same vehicles in Australia and affects 1200 and 1800 vehicles in New Zealand.

The recall is due to a fuel hose that in some cases is developing a small hole, which may allow fuel to leak.

It's happened three times in Australia but not in New Zealand.

No accidents have been reported.

Toyota New Zealand is asking its owners to contact their dealer as soon as possible to arrange an inspection and to replace the fuel hose if necessary.
