Spotlight on TAB involvement in SBW-Botha fight

| New Zealand News | Friday February 15 2013 11:46

The TAB's being asked to fully explain its involvement in the Sonny Bill Williams fight with Francois Botha.

Maori Party MP Te Ururoa Flavell said he'd also like to hear from the betting organisation the outcome of their please explain demand from the event's promoters and organisers.

Mr Flavell says it's now clear it wasn't a real sporting contest but rather a money making machine.

He says the TAB has to be held accountable for its involvement in such a farce.

Mr Flavell wants to know how much was wagered on the fight, how much was returned and how much profit was made.
