The Christmas Day weather is a mixed bag. The South Island is the place to be, and the low cloud over Wellington has moved away. It's been raining from Northland and Bay of Plenty through to the East Coast. MetService forecaster Brooke Lockhart says the rest of the central North Island is in for rain too. "It's quite fine through the middle at the moment, through Waikato, Taupo, Wanganui, Manawatu. "We're expecting some heavy showers in the afternoon." Photo: Stock.xchng |
