Kiwi on China's death row trying to reduce sentence

By: Newstalk ZB staff | New Zealand News | Sunday September 23 2012 11:02

A New Zealander who's on death row in China, is trying to get the sentence reduced to life imprisonment.

The person was arrested in Shenzen on a drugs charge in 2009, and found guilty.

The sentence contains a reprieve clause, which reduces the punishment to life - provided no more crimes are committed in jail.
