PM brushes off music awards slur

By: Nita Blake-Persen | New Zealand News | Friday November 2 2012 12:39

The Prime Minister is brushing off comments made about him by the group Home Brew at last night's New Zealand Music Awards.

While accepting an award on stage, a member the controversial hip hop group made an offensive and explicit comment about John Key and attacked the sale of state assets.

John Key wasn't at the awards, but says he's been made aware of what was said.

"I didn't worry about it too much, but I mean, whatever, you know, they were pretty derogatory."
