Shot hunter named

Police have formally released the name of the man fatally shot in a hunting accident at Cattle Flat in Southland.

He was 26 year old Mark Richard Vanderley.

Mr Vanderley was a boarder who used to live in Gore, but recently moved to Palmerston.

Police investigating the death are continuing to speak to members of his hunting party.
