Endeavour hits road block on final journey

| International News | Monday October 15 2012 6:16

The retired space shuttle Endeavour is stuck in downtown Los Angeles, wedged between trees and houses.

It was making its way to its final home at the California Science Center.

The trip was going to be a slow one anyway, power lines had to be lifted and hundreds of trees removed to make way for its nearly 24m wingspan.

Crowds had lined the streets of Los Angeles all day to witness the shuttle inching along its 19km journey.

Sky News reports it's expected to get there half a day later than planned.
