Sony announces PlayStation 4

By: Josh White | International News | Thursday February 21 2013 13:08

Gamers around the world are foaming at the mouth today, as Sony announces the latest console in the PlayStation series.

Sony Computer Entertainment CEO, Andrew House, led an elaborate presentation in New York City to announce the PlayStation 4, touted as the most advanced console ever.

The device has a more powerful processor, faster graphics, and a secondary chip, allowing users to start playing a game immediately, as the rest of it downloads.

The console will integrate socially too, with a 'share' button on the controller linking the user with their friends.

Sony claims the device will require the fastest global network ever made, which they are in the process of creating.

However, many users on the announcement's live stream seem concerned about the social capacity of the console, labelling it 'creepy.'

No date has been announced for release.
