Nestle wins lengthy Kit Kat legal battle

By: Newstalk ZB staff | International News | Friday January 4 2013 10:22

Nestle has won a seven year legal battle to trademark the shape of Kit Kats.

The world's biggest food company registered the shape of a four-fingered Kit Kat in 2006, but Cadbury fought back by appealing the application.

However, The Daily Mail reports the Board of Appeal at the EU's Community Trademark Office has ruled the four-fingered bar, created in 1935, is now exclusively Nestle's.
