PM pushing for education partnership with Indonesia

By: Katie Bradford | International News | Monday April 16 2012 19:12

The Prime Minister is pushing for more education partnerships between New Zealand and Indonesia.

Just 600 of the thousands of Indonesian students who study overseas every year come to our shores, and John Key says that's not enough.

Speaking to an Indonesia-New Zealand forum in Jakarta today, Mr Key said we want more students to come here.

And he says we can also assist the former dictatorship in raising the quality of its own institutions.
