A 13-year-old boy's been charged with the armed robbery of a taxi driver near Cairns in far north Queensland, as well as other crimes. The boy's accused of threatening the taxi driver with a knife at Bentley Park just south of Cairns around 5.45 (AEST) yesterday morning. Police will allege he ran off with cash and the cabbie's car keys. The boy's been charged with robbery with violence as well as break and enter and unlawful use of a motor vehicle from unrelated incidents and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
