Barack Obama will have to bring more to the third and final debate if he wants to hold on to the presidency. He's been handed a slim victory in the second debate against Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney. Auckland University's Professor Stephen Hoadley says a win's a win, and Obama needed it. "It certainly wasn't a surging comeback on the part of Obama, but it was a holding of the line, it was a reaffirmation that Obama does have rhetorical skills, that he has the energy." Mr Hoadley says Obama needed to come back strong in this debate, and did. "He was more energetic, he answered the questions. He also went on the offensive without being offensive on several occasions." Stephen Hoadley says it's 1-all, and it now rests on the foreign policy edition to see who comes out on top of the debates. Photo: Barack Obama (Getty Images) |
