Aussie Govt noncommittal towards Corby's release

By: ARN | International News | Friday August 3 2012 19:43

The Australian Government's baulked at a guarantee to help Schapelle Corby win parole.

It's provided a letter of support for the convicted drug smuggler's parole application, but has refused to say if it'll give a guarantee needed to help her win a release from jail before the end of the year.

Corby had her 20-year sentence slashed by five years in May, after she won an appeal for clemency from Indonesia's President.
