Tourists saved after Thai boat sinks

| International News | Tuesday August 28 2012 17:33

Police and witnesses say a speed boat carrying dozens of tourists near Thailand's resort island of Koh Phi Phi has sunk in abnormally rough seas.

All 41 people aboard survived.

The boat was carrying 37 tourists and four crew to Phuket when it sank on Monday in the Andaman Sea, but a flotilla of Navy ships, fishing boats and other vessels raced to the scene and were able to rescue everyone on board.
