Many parts of India are suffering from a sizzling heat wave with temperatures soaring over 47 degrees celcius.
To make matters worse, heat stricken residents in the holy city of Amritsar are suffering frequent, unannounced power cuts, according to the Times of India.
Delhi, the nation's capital with a wider population of 21 million, has seen a daily high five degrees above normal for the last three days, settling at 44.9 degrees celcius today.
Many schools are changing teaching hours to give students and teachers some relief.
Officials at the Delhi Regional Meteorological Centre have said the heat wave conditions should ease in the coming week.
