Scientists find 5000 year old blood sample

| International News | Thursday May 3 2012 18:48

Scientists have discovered what is thought to be the oldest blood sample known to man, on the body of a 5000 year old mummy.

The Daily Mail reports that Oetzi the Iceman, as he has been dubbed by experts, was discovered in a frozen Italian glacier 22 years ago.

A series of tests has revealed he met a violent and brutal death as he trekked through the mountains.
