Fiji at high risk of cyclone

By: Nina Burton | International News | Thursday December 13 2012 16:21

Fiji is being warned it will be in a high risk zone later this week with a cyclone on the way.

It is forecast to travel from Samoa to Fiji this week.

Weatherwatch. head weather analyst Philip Duncan told Newstalk ZB it's very intense.

He says it may even head for New Zealand.

"There's a slight risk - I would say a 30% one - that this cyclone may end up in New Zealand waters around about, believe it or not, Christmas time."
