Turtle rescued after being tied to balloons (+video)

A turtle has been rescued in the US after being tied to two dozen balloons and sent flying through the air.

The Daily Mail reports the creature was caught on video frantically moving its legs in an effort to escape the helium-filled confinement.

He became stuck in a eucalyptus tree and as fire fighters were about to rescue the animal, a gust of wind blew it onto the ground.

The turtle was unhurt and a search is on to find the culprits.
