Three million without power in US

By: Newstalk ZB staff | International News | Monday July 2 2012 6:22

Three million people are without power on the east coast of the United States after lightning storms that brought down hundreds of trees over power lines.

Sky's Dominic Waghorn is in Maryland - he says the effects from the storm could go on for some time.

"It began a little to the west of Chicago and then it came barrelling across the mid-west, over the Appalachians and came here and across the eastern seaboard."
