Occupy activists call for strike

| International News | Tuesday March 20 2012 15:04

Occupy Wall Street activists have called for supporters to skip work on May the 1st to protest what they're calling police brutality over 73 arrests in New York during the weekend.

Police took action after hundreds of Occupy supporters gathered at Zuccotti Park to mark six months since the start of the movement.

Occupy organisers are encouraging people to stay out of work and school on May the 1st, and to refrain from spending money.
