A number of students have been injured after an explosion at a high school in Australia's Southern Highlands.
Police and other emergency services were called to the school on Narellan Road in Moss Vale about 1pm AEST today.
Twelve students suffered minor injuries after sodium hydroxide exploded in the science lab.
Police said the classroom was evacuated and students treated at the scene by paramedics. The rest of the school remains open.
The injured students are expected to be taken to Bowral Hospital for treatment.
