By: Sam Thompson | International News | Monday February 27 2012 19:24

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it isn't aware of any New Zealand civilians caught up in violence that has flared anew in Afghanistan.

US authorities say they're still investigating the incident .

A fifth day of demonstrations has seen 24 people killed.
