Opposition leader Tony Abbott says Peter Slipper needs to do more to clear his name before returning to Parliament in Australia. The Speaker has published cab charge dockets he says were clearly written in his handwriting, to prove allegations against him are false. However Mr Abbott says that's not enough. "The coalition's very firm position is that the Speaker should not attempt to retake the Chair until all of the allegations against him, including the very serious harassment allegations, have been fully dealt and resolved," he says. He's accused of fraudulently using Commonwealth cabcharges, and is also accused of sexual harassment. Photo: Getty Images |
