The Daily Mail reports spending too much time on sedentary activities like watching TV or working at a computer can shorten lifespan and raise the risk of heart disease and strokes.
But simple activities like walking or stretching your legs, even for a minute or two, could counteract the effects.
Even actions like standing up, rocking your heels and wiggling your hips will help.
