A group of Southlanders opposed to plans to re-introduce abortion services at Southland Hospital are putting their case direct to the Southern District Health Board this morning. Southlanders 4 Life chairman Dr Norman McLean says they have 10 minutes, and that will be used to send a clear message. "The purpose of the delegation is to encourage the board members to change the decision of their management and stop the plan to provide abortion services in Southland." Dr McLean says the majority of Southlanders oppose the move to introduce abortion services after a gap of over 20 years. Photo: stock.xchng |
