Serbian police have recovered a Paul Cezanne painting that was stolen in a daring heist four years ago. Art experts in Switzerland have confirmed the French impressionist master's painting The Boy in the Red Waistcoat is genuine. It was stolen by armed and masked men along with three other paintings, a Monet, a van Gogh and a Degas, from a private collection in Zurich in 2008. Three people have been arrested. The Monet and van Gogh were recovered, undamaged, in a parked car at a Zurich hospital shortly after the theft. The Degas is still missing. Photo: NZ Herald |
