YouTube has taken the prize for the best April Fools prank.
It released a video, saying the site has been an eight-year contest to find the world's best video and it was now officially shutting down until 2023, when the winner will be unveiled.
The video says: "So remember, get all of your last minute submissions in by tonight at midnight. While your work's finished, ours is just beginning. It's going to be an exciting decade."
