Hayden Panettiere's wedding is on hold because of violent unrest in the Ukraine.
The actress is planning to tie the knot with world boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko, but things have come to a halt due to the political upheaval in her fiance's homeland.
Wladimir's brother Vitali leads the main opposition party in the Ukraine.
He says: "With the circumstances right now, it's hard for us to set a date."
Protestors have been demonstrating against Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in Kiev, over his decision to pull out of a landmark treaty with the European Union.
Wladimir, 37, says his 24-year-old partner is very supportive and takes the politics of his homeland seriously.
He told US Weekly: "She's socially aware. She has that beauty outside, but most important is the beauty inside."
The pair initially dated from 2009 to 2011.
They reconciled in January 2013 and became secretly engaged during a trip to Florida in March last year.
Panettiere says planning their nuptials takes a lot fo thought as they're from different cultures.
"I'm dealing with Americans and Ukrainians on the other side of the world, so we have to find some common ground in between."
