The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra is hoping to get the public on board in its bid to retain its funding. It's made a recording of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and set it to a video showing good and gritty scenes of contemporary Auckland. Kids of 88, Luger Boa and Weird Together have also done remixes of the piece. APO chief executive Barbara Glaser they underline the relevance and versatility of a modern orchestra.
