Major blaze in Invercargill

By: Nina Burton | Latest Emergency News | Saturday April 21 2012 17:33

The Fire Service is at the scene of a major blaze in Invercargill.

A fire has broken out amongst tyres in a silo on Rockdale Road, at the eastern end of Invercargill.

Reporter Malcolm Gayfer says rubberneckers have caused nose to tail accidents on the roads with people trying to get a look.

He says the fire's sent a huge amount of black smoke over the northern part of the city.
