By: Grayson Ottaway | Latest Emergency News | Monday October 15 2012 14:07

A man is in a stable condition in Tauranga Hospital after ingesting toxic weed killer.

The Fire Service's decontamination unit rushed to the hospital just before midday after the man presented at the hospital.

The man, ambulance officers and a number of hospital staff who came into contract with him have been washed down as a precaution.

Normal operations have now resumed at the emergency department.
