| Latest Emergency News | Thursday September 20 2012 8:23

Police have recovered the body of a 58-year-old man from the water at Bayswater Marina in Auckland.

Police were called to the marina at 1am after relatives reported the man missing.

He had had been living on his boat in the marina.

A search was conducted and the man's body was found at dawn.

A police guard has been posted at the gate to Pier B to keep the public out.

The coroner has rolled a stretcher onto the pier and the body's been removed from the scene.

Police say there aren't any suspicious circumstances, and won't name the deceased until his family have been informed.
