Man shocked by live power wire

By: Alexia Russell | Latest Emergency News | Monday May 14 2012 12:25

An 18-year-old man is seriously ill in Middlemore Hospital after receiving a shock from a live power wire in Northland.

Police are investigating the incident last Friday at Tinopai.

It's thought he cut the wire.

In a terrible piece of irony, he was flown to hospital by the Northland Electricity Rescue Helicopter.
