Injured skier rescued from Arthur's Pass

By: Alexia Russell | Latest Emergency News | Monday July 2 2012 5:36

A skier lying injured in Arthur's Pass overnight has been rescued.

The man was seen lying under power lines in the National Park - he'd been speed skiing at Temple Basin, which is skiing with the aid of a fabric wing.

He was said to have been found in a very icy and dangerous position.

Police Southern Communications says it's just received notification the man has been picked up and taken up to the skifield, where he'll be given first aid.
