Canterbury teachers latest affected by Novopay

By: Malcolm Gayfer | Latest Education News | Friday October 19 2012 9:45

It looks that some teachers in the wider Canterbury area may have to run on loose change over the holiday weekend.

Its reported that teachers in and around Ashburton are the latest to be short changed by the Education Ministry's new pay system.

Teachers found more inaccuracies - or no pay at all when their pay slips were issued this week.

Teachers from around the country had previously demanded assurances from the Education Ministry that payroll issues would be sorted when problems arose in the previous pay cycle.

Many teachers have been frustrated because their pay hasn't been right since the new Novopay system came into effect.
