Wairarapa school closing today for student's funeral

A small Wairarapa primary school will close its doors today for the funeral of one of its students.

10-year-old Shane White was killed last week after an accident on a farm quad bike.

His death has prompted renewed calls for something to be done about quad bike safety in New Zealand.

An Australian tourist remains in a critical condition in Auckland City Hospital after crashing her quad bike on a farm tour on Thursday.
