Trio in custody following gun shot reports

Three men are in custody following reports that gun shots were fired in an Upper Hutt suburb today.

Police were called to a Timberlea address around 11.30am this morning after neighbours reported hearing gun shots.

Senior Sergeant Brent Murray says police are speaking to the three men - but are yet to establish whether shots were actually fired.
