Police release Jane Furlong video re-enactment

| Latest Crime News | Friday June 22 2012 16:15

Police have released a two-minute video clip of a re-enactment of the last night Jane Furlong was seen on Auckland's Karangahape Rd.

The case is back in the headlines after the skeletal remains of the 17-year-old, who disappeared in May 1993, were found at Port Waikato's Sunset Beach.

The clip police have released was part of a 1993 Crime Watch programme and featured an actor as Jane while her boyfriend, Danny Norsworthy, played himself.

Detective Inspector Mark Benefield hopes the footage might jog the memories of some who view it and spur them on to contact police with information about what happened to Jane.
