Gisborne man on the run

By: Jacqui Stanford | Latest Crime News | Saturday May 5 2012 21:49

A man is on the run from police after allegedly assaulting an officer then doing a runner in central Gisborne this afternoon.

They say 21-year-old Fabian Thomas Miller took off on foot after assaulting the constable.

He is a Maori man of slim build, around 170 cm tall, and with shortish dark hair and brown eyes.

At the time of the assault he was wearing a dark baseball cap, dark skinny jeans and a light brown or sandy coloured puffer jacket.

Police say Miller should not be approached, and any information as to his whereabouts can be passed to the Gisborne police on (06) 869 0200 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 55 111.
