Police seeking public's help in gang member search

| Latest Crime News | Wednesday September 26 2012 16:44

Police are asking for help from the public in locating a patched Rebels gang member who has escaped electronic bail.

Craig Matthews was due to appear in Palmerston North District Court last Friday charged with methamphetamine dealing and money laundering charges, but didn't appear.

Detective Inspector Chris Bensemann says the 37-year-old was last seen by his family in Palmerston North on the morning of September 21.

Mr Matthews is described as European of a medium to solid build.

He has gang connections in Otaki, Foxton, Hamilton, Auckland, Whangarei and Kaitaia.
