31yo charged with Levin murder

A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a man in Levin.

Detective Senior Sergeant Marc Hercock says they believe that prior to Michael Valentine's death there was some type of altercation.

Two other men have been charged with assault, a 22-year-old and a 29-year-old.

All those arrested are from Levin.

Police say they are interested in sightings of a white Mitsubishi Pajero 4WD, registration CTJ418, between the hours of 6pm and midnight last night.
