Two women brutally beaten in Mt Maunganui

Two women have been brutally beaten at a house in Mount Maunganui.

Emergency services were called to the house in the suburb of Arataki around 1.30am this morning.

Both needed hospital treatment.

A 29-year-old man was arrested in Papamoa around 3am, and is expected to appear today in the Tauranga District Court on multiple charges.
