Blenheim police are concerned after the theft of a number of firearms from a property on the outskirts of Renwick.

They say they were taken from a secure lockup in a house on a vineyard on MIddle Renwick Road, State Highway Six.

Police believe the burglary of the property happened yesterday afternoon between one and four o'clock.

They say the offenders may have parked a vehicle on the main highway during the burglary.

They want to hear about anyone who has just come into possession of a quantity of firearms.
