Two Hastings teenagers face charges in relation to an assault at the local KFC over a month ago.
The attack left a 51-year-old man with two fractures to his jaw, missing teeth and abrasions to his body.
Detective Rob Parker says a 19-year-old man will appear in Hastings District Court today, charged with wounding with intent to injure.
A 15-year-old boy has been referred to Youth Aid.
