By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Crime News | Wednesday September 26 2012 18:48

A 32-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving and driving under the influence of a controlled drug following a crash last month on the Hawke's Bay Expressway.

The driver and a three-year-old child were injured when a car did a u-turn in front of a truck near the Meeanee overbridge.

The young boy was thrown from the car.

A woman who was also travelling in the car has been charged with criminal nuisance, in relation to the three year old not being in a child car seat.
