Beast's plan B after fiery Whanganui backlash

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Crime News | Saturday August 18 2012 8:16

The Beast of Blenheim's lawyer is looking at plan B, after a fiery backlash from Whanganui.

Stewart Murray Wilson is meant to be paroled to the area, living in a state house next to the grounds of Whanganui Prison, on the outskirts of the city.

Wilson's lawyer Andrew McKenzie says he's looking at moving the serial sex offender to another town, after what he calls such a noticeable backlash from Whanganui residents.

Residents have had a series of meetings against plans for the so-called Beast of Blenheim to move to the city, in an effort to turn their backs on him.

Mayor Annette Main says one option is having a trespass order against him visiting parts of the city, if the decision isn't changed.
