Star Wars Storm Trooper outfit stolen

Kapiti police are searching for a stolen Star Wars Storm Trooper outfit.

Thieves broke into a Paraparaumu Beach address several times on the day marked by Star Wars fans as "May the fourth be with you".

That's May the 4th for the uninitiated.

Senior Sergeant Alasdair MacMillan says they stole many items from the house, including guitars, jewellery and laptops.

"They have also taken, it's very distinctive, a white Storm Trooper helmet, it was a prop for a Star Wars movie."

Alasdair MacMillan says anyone with information on this burglary should contact police.
