The 17-year-old youth who burgled a former All Black's earthquake-damaged home has been sentenced to nine months jail.
In the Christchurch District Court today, Steven Pollard was told by Judge David Saunders the Court takes seriously this breach of trust and this kind of offending.
Graeme Bachop's Hillsborough home was broken into three times in January this year and his All Blacks blazer and a wedding dress were taken.
Judge Saunders gave credit to Pollard for his early guilty plea and that apart from that three month burglary spree, he came to the court with no previous convictions.
The blazer and wedding dress were found at Pollard's house and returned.
